  • The basic chat software is actually pretty good and easy to install. They say that it will integrate with VBulletin and it does but it is a very minimal integration. Allows auto login for your VBulletin members but that's about it. Doesn't import their information, avatars, etc. The biggest negative is the lack of support. You get absolutely no answers on their community forum and absolutely no answers when you email their support team. At least not in a timely manner. I have sent questions 5 days ago and have yet to receive any response at all. Worst support I have ever seen from any software company.

  • The software has been buggy for years and years. The forum support is pretty much useless. You don't get what you pay for, and the bugs are endless. Try AVChat or something better. Their mobile chat is a complete joke.

  • well i moderate for a chat room and they have requested cam use and mobile use as well , though they said it would be fixed its not been done so yet.. im excited to see them when they are done, but i do hope its sooner than later , please fix these issues soon

  • Waste of Money. If your looking to speak to 1 or 2 people it will work fine. Any more than 2 people and you will have problems. They will not provide updates to the software for you. After 60 days they delete you from their database so you will have to buy again. Read their terms carefully, they give YOU 60 Days Support, this means YOU are deleted and cannot update to the latest version. Support is slow which is to be expected from a lone coder and, useless when you finally do get a reply from HIM / HER / IT / whatever it is that codes this chat script. Eventually I uninstalled it and bought another chat script "BlabPRO." (google it) You wont regret it!

  • Hello. Please allow me to correct you regarding your claim of the deletion of customer accounts once their support package has expired. All customers (even if their support package has expired) can still login to the customer area to get free updates for our products, we do not impose any restrictions on downloading free updates for our software nor do we ever delete any customer accounts when their support packages expire.   • Paid over £80 for this and chose free installation with it. Waited one day two days three days etc etc... Sent FOUR EMAILS over those days and not one reply. Absolute waste of time from start to finish. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THIS...

  • I needed a chat room for a client and prochatrooms suited their requirements. Their support team was able to answer my questions by email (i did notice they also have live support on their contact page) and i will be buying more licences for other ongoing projects. The only negative is the user forum can be a bit slow at times but other than that its good value.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • I purchased the text chatroom on a Friday. I didn't hear from them until Monday, when Jeff, their tech, told me it would be 1-2 business days for installation to take place. On Thursday morning, I contacted them again. This time Jeff promised to have it installed by the end of that day. Friday morning comes and it still hasn't been installed. Jeff promised to have it done within the hour. He finally installed it by the end of the day, but he integrated it with my CMS, which I specifically asked him not to do. This was late on Friday, so I didn't expect to hear from him until Monday. Well, he didn't write back until Tuesday, stating that it wasn't integrated and that I can alter the config file so my users didn't have to login to my CMS. I checked my CMS database, and there were the Prochat tables right on top, so he lied. He did integrate it with my CMS. At that point I had enough and told them I wanted my money back. I filed a transaction complaint with PayPal, so hopefully, I will get my money back. Please learn from my mistakes and do not do business with this dishonest company.

  • I ordered ProChatRooms Text Chat with the Remove Branding plugin and it took them 2 days to get me a reciept and the login to download the script. I requested at the time of purchase their free installation; I provided all installation required information as per their FAQ. I never heard back. 3 days later I used their support ticket system to again provide installation requst and requirements and after 3 more days I hired a programmer from oDesk to install and get the script working. He stated he couldn't do it, there was something wrong with the script. I hired another programmer from Elance. After 2 days and multiple attempts he could not get the script to work correctly. This is a total scam. I have since filed a complaint with PayPal to try an get my money back - $80 down the drain.

  • Ok so I've purchased the pro chat rooms software for my site. First of all their tech support was supposed to install it. It took him about 3 days to even contact me. So I just installed it myself. The chat turned out EXTREMELY buggy. Things just wouldn't function well. People couldn't send messages, there were ghost users present in the chat room, users would get kicked out, and so on. I've tried to get help from their forums, got couple of replies, which did not resolve any of the issues. So I've emailed them asking for a refund, and they told me that they do not offer refunds. Ridiculous. So yeah, definitely the worst 55$ spend.

  • I am testing the demo . FIle sharing is not working for me. Uploading images but they are not showing. Is it working for all you guys ?. Before purchase i want to make sure about it.

  • Edited Review: My review and thoughts on the ProChatRooms has been changed due to working with their support team. Thanks ProChat excellent job! Purchased the ProChatRooms Script to run on's web site. Support is a bit slow.....I would imagine it is because they are very busy with install's and such. New version 6.0.0 had a few bugs, but with the help of their support team (NetSurfer) all bugs have been worked out! Very excellent chat application. Highly recommend this chat application to everyone!!! It is helpful if you have some programming skills in html, php, ajax. If you have very little to no skills in this area, no'll find help in their support forum. Little slow there for support so don't be in a rush.....they will get to you and will help you with any issues. Such an excellent chat application that is well worth the wait. And the price just can't be beat! I also purchased some of their extra features and ...WOW...Is all I can say! I spent over a hundred hours searching and loading chat scripts....and to no avail they sucked big time, but then I fell upon this ProChat and couldn't be happier! Kinda like a little kid in a candy store! Visit my website and you'll see what I mean!!! Thanks ProChat for such an excellent chat application! Will recommend you to all! Note: Couldn't figure out how to change the recommed to all feature listed below..but I whole heartedly recommend this chat to all! Thanks again Pro Chat!

  • When I purchased the base script, it took just under 20 hours to receive it from I should have taken that as a clue, but I went ahead and purchased 2 upgrade modules a few days later. It took approximately 36 hours to receive those scripts. Then, after installing the scripts, I encountered trouble and requested support. Again, it took days to get a response. Even then, I didn't get a resolution, just blunt requests for more information and no suggestions on how I might resolve the problem. I even asked them to help me access their user forum so I could try to get help from other users. It took 7 days for to handle that request. If I treated my business customers like this, I'd be out of business. So, I pulled their script from my server and requested a refund. While it took up to a week to receive support, it only took them 5 minutes - yes, minutes - to tell me they would not honor my refund request. At this point, their support staff offered to help me via live chat. Too little, too late. I'd already removed their software, written off the over 12 hours I invested in installing and testing it. Their script could be a fantastic piece of software, but I will never know because I refuse to deal with a company that not only handled my support requests as they did, but believes they handled my requests appropriately. Hopefully my experience will help others in deciding if this is the right script for them. Blair Warren

  • The product wasn't the easiest to get going, but once it was installed, it has proven to be the best chat for the money. There are a lot of additional options you can purchase and a number of free add-ons as well. Thanks Jeff for the support!!

  • seems like a great chat room. they are very busy or something cause replies back can take long time so get help early on, get up and going while your communicating... otherwise looks great.
