CoSolvent's Professional Player is a Flex application that uses a Virtual Timeline to dynamically assemble supplied SWFs and FLVs into a seamless movie. The Player can apply individual mark-in, mark-out and ordering to multiple SWF and FLV files. The resulting clips will play as a single movie in the specified order. The structure of the delivered movie is defined each time the Player is loaded on the user's browser page. A web page an be programmed to deliver a custom-edited video on each and every page view and, if you exploit the Javascript JSON structure, you can even reload a different movie structure without having to refresh the page. SWF movies with Actionscript can be placed on the timeline and interspersed among other SWFs and FLVs. The Professional Player also supports script-driven annotations such as subtitles and programmable markers (akin to anchors). iPOV plans an aggressive development roadmap based on the Player's plugin architecture.
