Use the simplicity of Flash's pre-supplied Loader component to load external SWF or JPG files, then just drag and drop this component onto the Loader to add a fully functioning progress indicator. Create a custom, animated loading indicator by timeline animation alone and enable it by changing the KEProgressIndicator's "linkageId" parameter. As the Loader's content downloads, your progress animation moves from frame 1 (0% loaded) to the final frame (100% loaded). Animation may be nested to create more powerful indicators, such as barber-pole style loading bars. Include a text display of the number of bytes or kilobytes already loaded, total bytes or kilobytes to load and percent loaded by adding dynamic text with pre-defined instance names to your clip. If desired, ActionScript can also be included in the progress indicator.
