After buying a couple of submission programs that didn't work well because the autocomplete feature looks for forms that never have the same name, I got tired of typing info in again and again and I wrote my own app. Directory Navigator isn't so much a script as it is an app that I thought I would make available for free. It helps maintain lists of directories and enables you to surf from directory to directory to submit. It will help you keep track of which directories you've submitted too, which are free, which require recirocal links, etc. It comes with a list of over 1200 directories, some of which have probably changed but you can maintain your list with the app. It requires the use of a your favorite clipboard program. The InformEnter extension for FireFox is highly recommended.
