It is very simple to use and very customizable (if you like). I also ran into a lot more complicated scripts and I created an account just to thank the creator of this script and recommend it to anybody who needs a javascript photo album.
Great Javascript Image Gallery Script -- Just what I was looking for

I was looking for a simple, but multifunctional script for an online wedding gallery and stumbled to this. It was everything I was looking for and extremely easy to use. I tried some gallery scripts from Dynamic Drive, all which were complicated in a way that didn't make sense. Thank you to the author of the script, I really appreciate it!
