Pickmybrain does not rely on the existing full-text search feature of MySQL but uses its proprietary compressed inverted index architecture. This enables you to index millions of documents/web pages without any search-time performance penalty. Configuration is easy and can be done either from web-based control panel or from a provided command line application.
