Webliographer is a server-based web application that allows people to build mini-search engines similar to Yahoo!. Webliographer is similar to Yahoo! in that every link is added by a human (rather than a computer program that searches the web itself). Because all links are added by hand, presumably by someone who knows what kinds of things you're looking for, it's likely that the links they add will be useful to you. The downside is that because links must be added by someone, you might not be able to find what you're looking for.
