I tried a lot of comment scripts, including paid ones. Never managed to get it working right. This one is great! Easy to set up when you follow the instructions. Works great and great admin panel. THANK YOU! for offering this for free

I want to thank Commentics for this script. We had been looking for a commenting solution which allowed us to control the functionality completely. You can change the wording in fields, change coloring of comment boxes, and on and on..... If you ever have any questions, a quick trip to the Commentics forum and the founder will quickly solve your problem! I cannot recommend this enough!

Commentics was easy to set up in stock form but what I love the most is that I get full access to the php files to modify them into exactly what I want. I am using it for product reviews and ratings, not just comments, and it works fine. Also, since the data is all stored on my own MySQL server, I can modify that AND I never have to worry about the service shutting down (like my last comment system did)
Plus the developer, Steven, is very active and very helpful on the support forums. This script is free but I donated money to him anyways to say thank you. :-)
