The HTML BOX is a completely scripted FLASH 9 AS3 application that loads a CSS (cascading style sheets) file and a XML file in which the styled html parts are stored. Simply add HTML sub pages in the xml file and use the script generated arrow buttons or the TextEvent.LINK to navigate. Not only the html tag styled with css hover or rollover effects is supported, also the html image tag is parsed to load external pictures. The text flows around the images. UTF-8 multilingual fonts are support. Simply resize the HTML BOX by adjusting the swf movie's dimension in its html embed part (stage.align/scaleMode). The background's color, alpha transparency, round corner option, almost everything can be customized by setting a few variables in the movie's query string (loaderInfo.parameters) or by setting attributes in the xml file. In this tutorial we will learn how to scroll some photos that we will load dynamically from an xml file and we will scroll the photos using a custom scrollbar. We will use again the Tweener class to add a nice transition. You can add as much photos as you like.

This gallery is better for large images, as if the image is larger than the screen resolution it is scrolled when you click on it. Hi all, this is (again) a new version (well mainly a correct version) of the "famous" gallery originally made by Badawe. In the past days I've posted a version 4 (with auto portrait/landscape mode) and a version 5 with PHP support. Actually this is an XML PHP version. This is how it works: by defaults it looks for fotos.xml file, if not it looks for lettore.php. So it's up to you decide if you want an automatic php version (in this case you only need to upload images in the "images" folder) or if you prefer to use the .xml file (mainly for local testing). Now the .fla is in version 8. Enjoy!!!

OK, it seems that my last post (actually the very first one) was a total failure, so here it is again. This is a modified version of the XML Gallery Cross posted few weeks ago here on FFILES. Badawe made a great work on it, I've just modified a little bit to let you drag and drop the photos (now you have to double click on the photo in order to open it). The sound used is property of www.jermai.de How to change the sound: - First do a "file > import to library" and place your file in the flash library. - Right click the mp3 file in the library, select "linkage" and type a name under the "identifier" field, press ok. - In the actionScript code make sure the "attachSound" refers to the exact same name you typed as identifier above. In this sample identifier was "jermai_smoke_on_the_hip_hop.mp3"
