Merengue
Merengue is a fully featured CMS framework built on top of Django framework. It's not only a plug-and-play CMS but a framework to build CMS sites at top speed with clean and re-usable code, using our preferred web framework. In order to achieve we have: Taken conventions that are not provided in Django; Merengue is designed to develop CMS websites and not to develop generic web applications. Thanks to these conventions Merengue has features such as skinnable, pluggable, etc. Built a pluggable system that allows plugins to create new models, handle URLs, define content or site actions, create blocks, customize admin zones, etc. Created a default data model with all of the requirements to allow content management. You can inherit some of these models in your plugins to create new content types.

web2py
web2py was inspired by Ruby on Rails and, as Rails, it focuses on rapid development and follows a Model View Controller design. web2py differs from Rails because it is based on Python (thus it is faster and more scalable), because it provides a comprehensive web-based administrative interface (thus there is no need to ever type shell commands unless you wish), includes libraries to handle more protocols (for example XML-RPC and RSS feeds), and can run on the Google App Engine.

TurboGears
TurboGears is a web framework written in Python that combines best-of-breed technologies to offer a developer rapid initial ramp-up, an even learning curve, and scalability as your project grows. TurboGears is built on a stack of technologies that allows us to focus on the parts that are important only to TurboGears. Although TurboGears provides fully featured ORM (Object Relational Mapper), Templating Languages, and URL dispatch mechanisms, the codebase remains less than 2000 lines of executable code.

Pylons
The Pylons web framework is aimed at making webapps and large programmatic website development in Python easy. Several key points: * A framework to make writing web applications in Python easy * Utilizes a minimalist, component-based philosophy that makes it easy to expand on * Harness existing knowledge about Python Pylons makes it easy to expand on your knowledge of Python to master Pylons for web development. Using a MVC style dispath, Python knowledge is used at various levels: * The Controller is just a basic Python class, called for each request. Customizing the response is as easy as overriding __call__ to make your webapp work how you want. * Mako templating compiles directly to Python byte-code for speed and utilizes Python for template control rather than creating its own template syntax for "for, while, etc"
