Why Java? and where are the features?

Why can I only create red text? This product is seriously lacking features of others such as Ektron and RichTextBox. They say you can use it cross-platform -- yes, if you want a 5mb java download. It's slow, has WAY too many bugs and quirks, and I emailed their support guy and it took 2 days for a reply. Hmmmm. I thought sitepoint were meant to be good?
