SharePoint functionality does not support fully customizable rank rearrangement for list items. SharePoint users are allowed to reorder items or folders manually for link lists only. SharePoint Documen & Item Reordering enables users to change the rank of list items in all types of SharePoint lists. Users are able to move any list items to any positions by simply clicking buttons. This has considerably extended the default SharePoint capability.
