Excite for Web Servers makes it easy for you to add searching -- Excite, Inc.'s advanced concept-based searching -- to your Web site. Excite for Web Servers provides a simple Web-browser interface for doing all the things necessary to enable concept-based searching of collections of documents such as administering, indexing, and searching over the collections. In particular, one can: define a document collection -- that is, specify a set of documents to be considered a single collection over which one can search, design customized pages for displaying to users who wish to search over that collection, index that collection, monitoring the progress, and search the collection.

SWISH-Enhanced is a fast, powerful, flexible, and easy to use system for indexing collections of Web pages or other text files. Key features include the ability to limit searches to certain HTML tags (META, TITLE, comments, etc.). It also includes a package of Perl programs that enable anyone who is authorized to create and maintain their own indexes (AutoSwish). DMailWeb is a web-email gateway which allows you to read and process your new email from a web browser running on any machine with access to the internet or your intranet. This code generates X bitmap according to a calculated access number for a given document. It also features, if you have defined server side includes you can have the output in plain text instead of X bitmap.

TextCounter requires Server Side Includes and will display a text count of the number of visitors to a page in your web site. TextCounter includes options such as 0 padding numbers, file locking, linking from the count, displaying the date from when the count began and more. It works on multiple pages and allows you to restrict accesses to certain parts of your server.

This is a CGI program to keep record of the raw hits of a web page. It generates a GIF image of the number of hits and returns to the browser as an in-lined image. The program also has a run-time option not to show the digit images, this way the hits can be kept without displaying it. The hits can be be monitored without incrementing from a separate page as well. The program can also can display time and date of any timezone. It has a option to countdown to a specific date (past or future). Almost all of the features are run-time options.

TextClock is a C++ CGI program which is meant to be run from Server Side Includes. When this script is implemented, it can be used to show browsers several variations of the current time and/or date.
