Pre-cache Images
The purpose of this script is twofold: To show the perceived performance enhancements of pre-cached images, and To show how to script continually rotating images. When this page loads, it automatically pre-caches four images that are immediately available in the right-hand pane. The idea here is that as long as the visitor is waiting for a page to load, all the images may as well be downloaded up front, allowing for instantaneous image access thereafter. Activating the checkbox turns on a function that continually cycles through all pre-cached images at five-second intervals.

Thumbshow
This JavaScript lets you click on thumbnails to display full-size images on the same page. If the browser can manipulate document images, then it simply in-lines the large image. If it can't, or if it doesn't recognise JavaScript at all, it will simply display the image by itself, in a new page.

Kai Button
This is the standard JavaScript 'image rollover' - an image that changes appearance as you move the mouse over it. The JavaScript works by loading several alternative images for each button. If the user moves the mouse in or out of the button's area, a JavaScript function is invoked to change the image displayed. It does this by changing the 'src' attribute of the named button image.
