SendEmail is a lightweight, completly command line based, SMTP email program. If you have the need to send email from a command prompt this tool is perfect. It supports attachments, multiple To, CC, and Bcc recipients, SMTP AUTH, custom message headers, and many other features. It was designed to be used in bash scripts, Perl programs, and web sites, but it is also quite useful in many other contexts. SendEmail is written in Perl and is unique in that it requires NO SPECIAL MODULES. It has a straight forward interface, making it very easy to use.

Roving webmasters can send personal emails, using Sendmail, from their own website. The World Wide ProxEmail 1.0 script will allow you to use your servers mail server without revealing your PC's IP address in your mailings. For example, if you use mass mailing software from your PC and you connect to your SMTP server to send mail with this software, most of the time, the IP address of your PC is included in the mail headers. This IP can be used to file SPAM complaints against you to your ISP or also allow attacks to be launched against your IP address. You can also use this with mail programs such as Outlook and Eudora.

mail2mysql.pl is a script which reads a mailbox file, parses the messages and inserts them into a MySQL database. Filters are based upon a "point system" where bad words or phrases get negative points and good words or phrases get positive points. Messages scoring below the Quarantine Score Limit will be quarantined. You control all the words/phrases, points and scoring.

This script will allow Perl programs running on an NT server to send email through SMTP to a server that requests authentication. If your email server does not require you to authenticate then you don't need this script, but if it does this is one of the only scripts out there that does it.
