Need to show a bunch of images without cluttering up your web page? With this easy script, your visitor's can view different images at the click of a button, without loading up extra HTML pages.

IDS is a CGI written in Perl that generates a photo album website on the fly. All you need to provide are the images and (optionally) text descriptions. As you add new pictures, they will appear automatically. Each image will be displayed with information such as image type, file size, image size, and date uploaded. If EXIF information is embedded in the image (shutter speed, aperature, focal length, etc.), it will be displayed. It will create thumbnail preview images for JPEG, PNG, and GIF images. A handy script to display rotating images on your site in two different ways. You can use either simple rotation or display a random image each time the page is loaded.

This JavaScript checks if all the images in the document exists. If a particular image does not exist, that image will be replaced by a custom image. Works with IE only. In IE, if a particular image does not show up, then its dimensions are 28 x 30 (without the 'alt'). So, the script checks all images with this size after removing the 'alt' tag. If such an image exists, it is a broken-image. The only drawback is that if your image has dimensions of 28 x 30, even if it exists the script will treat it as a broken-image. But there is a solution. You can prevent the script from checking for such scripts by placing an attribute-value pair nc="1".
